On to the Numbers
Disclaimer: The following information contains
results of my own personal study of selected TGP2s. The results
and statistics derived should not be construed as an attempt
to state what rules should or should not exist. Some of the
statistics below may be slightly inaccurate due to several factors.
One problem in obtaining reliable statistics is that some TGP2s
have unclear or unstated rules on their submission pages. This
required some assumptions on my part. For example, if a site
did not mention pics on HTML, it was assumed that they were
permitted. All percentages are rounded to the nearest whole
percentage point.
One of the major complaints of webmasters building
TGP2 galleries has been the wide variety of requirements on
the TGP2 sites. Although most sites agree with the general standards,
there are some different additional requirements posed by some
TGP2s. I cannot stress how important it is to read the rules
of the site you are submitting to.
For the basis of my study I selected a total
of 89 TGP2s.
Total number of thumbs on the page:
Of the sites studied, 61 percent accepted the standard of 20 or
less total thumbs. Eleven percent accepted five, and only five,
total thumbs (all clickable). Ten percent required a minimum of
10 total thumbs. The remaining sites required varying numbers
of thumbnails.
| Summary: |
| 20 or less total thumbs |

|
| 5 total thumbs |

| Require a recip only if there are others
on the gallery |
63%
|
| Always require a recip |
24%
|
| Do not require a recip |

Sites allowing pics
on an HTML page:
Of the sampled sites, 47 percent either allowed them (giving no
further details about number of links, etc.), or did not specifically
say they were prohibited (which was assumed to mean that they
accepted them). Only 5 percent stated that they did not accept
pics on HTML pages.
| Summary: |

A Promising Future
As stated above, these numbers are based on my own research and
were for my own personal use. I decided to share this information
in the hopes that it gives an overview of the TGP2 system and
how it has evolved since its inception. Webmasters are seeing
some phenomenal click through ratios under the TGP2 system. This
system shows a lot of potential, and is a fine example of the
what can happen when webmasters work together for the good of
the industry.
Adult
Biz Resource (http://www.adultbizresource.com/)
fully supports TGP2 and the principles behind it. ABR's TGP2 features
include a searchable database of TGP2 sites, galleries, news,
and articles.
